Stratego is a two-player strategy board game of battle and deception originally published in 1946 by Jacques Français. It is now published by Hasbro. The game is a battle simulation in which each player commands a 40-piece army. The goal of the game is to either capture the opponent’s flag or eliminate all of their opponent’s pieces.

The game is played on a 10×10 grid, with each player’s pieces hidden from the other player. Pieces are moved one space at a time, and when two pieces occupy the same space, they battle. The rank of each piece determines its strength, and the higher-ranked piece wins the battle and eliminates the lower-ranked piece.

However, there are some special pieces that have special abilities. For example, the Spy can eliminate any piece except the Marshal, while the Marshal is the strongest piece on the board and can only be eliminated by the Spy or the Bomb.

Stratego is a game of deception and strategy. Players must use their wits to outguess their opponent and capture their flag. The game is a classic for a reason, and it is still enjoyed by people of all ages.
