Giza Solar Boat Museum, a facility purpose-built alongside the Great Pyramid to house the reconstructed 4,500-year-old cedar vessel. The ship itself is one of the world’s oldest and best-preserved intact vessels from antiquity. While this specific museum was a landmark for decades, the Khufu ship was famously relocated in August 2021 to a new, dedicated hall at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) to ensure its long-term preservation.
